Aaron John Krantz, 44, of Pullman passed away April 20, 2017 at his Pullman home following a courageous battle with cancer. The memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Pullman Presbyterian Church, with a reception following at Concordia Lutheran Church. A family graveside service will take place at the Pullman Cemetery. Aaron was born Dec. 25, 1972 in Alexandria, Minnesota to John & Marcia (Adix) Krantz. He grew up in Forest Lake, MN where he received his education and was active in scouting. Aaron was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Forest Lake High School. Aaron received his under graduate degree from North Dakota State University. Being led into the ministry he attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Issaquah, WA where Aaron received his Certificate of Youth and Family Ministry. It was there that he met Becky Schuster and the couple married on July 10, 1999 in Idaho Falls, ID. Aaron served as Youth Minister at Mt. Si Lutheran Church in North Bend, WA. Moving to Pullman Aaron attended Washington State University where he received his Master's degree in teaching. He accepted a position at Endicott Elementary & Middle Schools and they made their home in Endicott, WA during this time. They moved to Pullman and Aaron taught Math at Lincoln Middle School until November of 2016 when health forced his leave of absence. Aaron was a deep man of Christian faith and integrity who loved scripture and his Lord. He always was there for others and would go the extra mile to assist those in need. Aaron was a devoted husband and father who so enjoyed his children's music and loved them deeply. Time spent with Becky and the children was of utmost importance to Aaron and the families Route 66 trip and trip to Hawaii will always be remembered. Aaron was a beloved math teacher who had many interests and hobbies. He was a hard worker, wonderful woodworker and a man who appreciated a good deal. Aaron loved playing board games and reading western books. Of all the things Aaron enjoyed he loved being outdoors in the trees. This was one of his most favorite places to spend time. Aaron was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and was always willing to serve his Lord and church wherever needed. Aaron is survived by his wife Becky and three children Hannah, Isaac & Eli all of Pullman; his parents John & Marcia Krantz of Forest Lake, MN and sister Rachel Krantz-Kent (Christopher) of Washington, DC. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
