Obituary

Aaron David Marshall
Our beloved son, nephew, grandchild, cousin and best friend Aaron David Marshall passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, he was 25 years old. Aaron is the son of Kelly and Tina Marshall and came into this world on Sept. 21, 1990, in Lewiston.
Even as a baby, Aaron was full of joy, sass and love. He started school at Camelot Elementary, where it was just the beginning of meeting lifelong friends and mentors. The Camelot kids did everything together, from soccer, riding motorcycles, prank phone calls to backyard sleepovers. Aaron was the ringleader in every way. He even tried to teach his friends how to ghost ride their bicycles like champs. Yet, he was always the best.
Sacajawea Junior High was where Aaron was the go-to guy for the latest and greatest beats. These were the years where Aaron's athleticism shone. Whether it be a free-throw shooting contest, Hoopfest or throwing the perfect change-up, Aaron loved the competitive challenge.
He attended Lewiston High School, and graduated in 2009. During and after high school, Aaron worked at Mick McClure Honda, where he entertained his co-workers with his quick wit. He charmed the customers on a daily basis. Aaron went on to attend Lewis-Clark State College, where he lived with his lifelong best friend and fellow dirt bike rider, Devon.
For the last year, Aaron had been employed at Schweitzer Engineering, in Pullman and had recently been certified in a new area. He was excited to be moving back down to Lewiston with his department and was looking forward to future advances with the company.
Aaron cherished the mountains and took every chance he could to spend his time up north. He would talk endlessly of the summers he spent logging with his cousin Adam, who was more like a brother. Aaron would regularly send photos to his mom letting her know "how beautiful the world was." Being up there brought him a sense of peace and tranquility. The mountains mean just a little more to us now because of him.
Aaron's joy and laugh was contagious. We are all going to miss his mischievous chuckle. He was the center of Tina and Kelly's world; not a day went by that he didn't call to tell them he loved them — their love for each other was unconditional. His extended family, friends and animals benefited from the same love. He was our animal whisperer and the first to give you an unforgettable hug. He always made sure you knew that no matter what, he was there to lend an ear. If you were a friend of Aaron's, you always knew how important you were.
The shoulder he gave us to lean on is what got many of us through our darkest times. Yet with all the love Aaron received, nobody quite touched his soul like the love of his life, Brea.
Unknown to many, Aaron was the most heartfelt, creative writer. He had a gift that most people work their entire lives to perfect. The words Aaron left imprinted in our hearts and minds are what will keep us going for years to come, and will always bring a smile to our face.
He was our trickster, our open book and our comic relief. Aaron's love of winning and practical jokes went hand-in-hand. He would either trick you into playing longer or convince you that you had the wrong score. His unique wit outdid us on every level. He was always the winner. Now those wins are the memories we will hold onto for the rest of our lives.
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal but love leaves a memory no one can steal."
Aaron is survived by his parents, Tina and Kelly; his grandparents Keith and Shirley Lutes and Barb Patterson; his uncles, Kelly Lutes (Vicki), and Rex; his aunt, Toni Konkol (Andy); cousins and his sweet puppy, Rondo.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at CrossPoint Alliance Church in Lewiston. A covered-dish lunch will follow in the reception hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Aaron's name to Helping Hands.
