IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Aaron
Repp
July 25, 1976 – January 9, 2026
Aaron J. Repp, lifelong Dusty area resident, passed away January 9, 2026 with his loving family by his side at the Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene. He was 49. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17th at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Colfax. A luncheon reception will follow at the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds from 11:30 to 1:30 and burial will be in the Dusty Cemetery at 2:30 pm. Viewing for Aaron will be Thursday and Friday from 9 to 5 at the Corbeill Funeral Home in Colfax.
Aaron was born July 25, 1976 in Pullman to Randal and Tanya Haun Repp. He grew up on the family farm just East of Dusty with his parents and brother Daemon. He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott and received confirmation from Peace Lutheran Church in Colfax. Aaron attended school in Colfax where he played the trumpet in the jazz band and was active showing steers in FFA. He farmed and drove truck during harvest from an early age and was most eager to help around the shop or work with anything mechanical. Aaron could often be found driving his 1988 Chevy pickup while hanging out with his closest friends. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1995 and attended Walla Walla Community College where he earned a degree in auto mechanics in 1997.
After college Aaron moved back to the Dusty area and continued working as a mechanic for Startin's Repair in LaCrosse, which he had done since high school. He also served his community as an EMT for LaCrosse Fire District 8 and he was a member of the Dusty Gun Club. Aaron and his family attended First Baptist Church in Colfax.
Aaron married his high school sweetheart - and favorite Dusty Cafe waitress - Dana Erickson March 9, 2002 in Endicott. They made their home on the farm near where he grew up and he spent his adult life farming with his dad. Aaron's mom, Tanya, passed away in 2001. Aaron and Dana began their family with the arrival of son Derek in 2004 followed two years later by son Darin. Aaron enjoyed teaching his boys many of the fun things about living in the country; 4-wheelers, guns, campfires, or fixing anything in the shop. They had many fun family adventures camping in the mountains and at Boyer Park and boating on the Snake River. Aaron was happiest close to home, metal fabricating and welding, and spending time with his family. Aaron struggled with health issues for the latter part of his life but his spirit and love for his family remained strong.
He will be missed by many in the community; but most especially by his wife, Dana, their boys, Derek and Darin; his father Randy (Kristin) Repp; his brother Daemon (Kristi) Repp of Poulsbo, WA.; Dana's parents Norm and Gloria Erickson of Colfax; brother-in-law Drew Erickson, and sisters-in-law Kjirsti (Ryan) Nilsen and Ronda (Brian) Clark as well as his nieces and nephews Cameron and Mason Repp, Owan, Clara, Elsie, and Annie Nilsen, and Chloe and Hannah Clark. In addition to his mother; Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew, Braaten Nilsen.
The family suggests memorial gifts in his memory be to LaCrosse EMS or the Union Gospel Mission. On-line guest book is at www.corbeillfuneralhomes.com
