IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alex Lawrence
Papendick
December 4, 1992 – January 18, 2026
Alex Lawrence Papendick
Dec/4/1992-Jan/18/2026
On January 18th, 2026 Alex L. Papendick of Colton, WA tragically passed away at the age of 33 west of Pullman, WA.
On December 4th, 1992, Alex was born to Dale and Julie (Geiger) Papendick in Pullman, WA. He lived in and attended school in Rosalia until 1st grade when the family moved to Colton, WA, in 2001. From there Alex attended Lincoln Middle school and Pullman high school, growing his friend group and his love of sports. Alex competed in football, soccer, and ran track. But above all his favorite sport was basketball. So much so, in middle school, he and his friends (with the help of their parents) created their own AAU basketball team, with Alex's older brother Robby as the coach and his sister as their scorekeeper.
Aside from sports, Alex had a love for comics, table top strategy games, and music. In his later years, his music became his passion. Every aspect of making music, from creating beats, to writing lyrics, and the final production, filled Alex with drive, purpose, and was his outlet to show genuine creativity he had. Even coming from a small town, Alex always chased his dreams and was able to perform his music at multiple venues, alongside publishing a song to iTunes. Alex never gave up his songwriting and continued creating music till his last days on earth side. When Alex wasn't writing music, he was funneling his creativity into his art. Alex loved to paint and enjoyed putting his vision to life on canvas, no matter what material or paint he had available. His creativity and artistic ability will be cherished and missed.
Alex was the middle of three kids. He was an amazing uncle to 4 and a father to one beautiful daughter.
He is Survived by his Parents Dale and Julie Papendick, of Colton. Daughter Akira Rose Behner, of Portland. Brother Robert (Briean) Papendick, of Spokane. Sister Sarah (Ryan) Kreid, of Potlatch. Niece and nephew Sophia and Silas Papendick, Nephews Rhett and Reed Kreid and Paternal Grandfather Robert I. Papendick.
Alex is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Cecyl (Spike) and Roselyn (Rosie) Gieger, Paternal Grandmother Ruby Papendick. Aunt Shirley Williamson, Aunt Lynda Devorak, Uncle Ed Geiger and Cousin Roselyn Christine (Geiger) Sabala.
