Anna Marie Stricklin

Anna Marie Stricklin, 89, of Albion and longtime Deary resident, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, at her Albion home.

Anna was born May 10, 1934, in Tiverton, R.I., where she grew up and graduated from high school. She married Clarence Henry Jones, Jr., and they made their home in New York for a time until moving to Arizona. Anna was always busy with Clarence raising their four children, she and Clarence later divorced.

She married Clifford Stricklin in St. Maries and they made Deary their home. Anna began her career at Washington State University where she worked for many years until her retirement.

She enjoyed fishing, gardening, getting dirty in the yard, working puzzles, crocheting and game shows. Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother her entire life. Her family was so important to her.

She is survived by her children, Donna (Gary) Johnson, Clarence (Barb) Jones III, Theresa (Matt) Shoemaker, Constantine (Karen Kay) Jones; two stepchildren, Sandy (Syd) Adams and Rick (Val) Stricklin; 37 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by her husband Cliff, granddaughter Kristin, grandson Zach, grandson Michael, great-granddaughter Felicia and Anna's parents.

Corbeill Funeral Home of Pullman is in charge of arrangements. Private family services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024.
