Aubree Mills
Harris
Nov 1, 1982 — May 31, 2026
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Aubree Mills Harris, 43, of Pullman, WA, who left us peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Lewiston, ID.
Aubree was born on November 1, 1982, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Chett and Kim Mills. At nine years old, she moved with her family to Rosalia, WA, which became her home. She enjoyed a joyful childhood with loving parents, five tightly knit siblings, and extended family. In school, Aubree was an excellent student, enjoyed singing and acting, and was a cheerleader. Together with her sister Aspen, Aubree ran on the varsity relay team that made it to the Washington state championships. Following graduation from Rosalia High School, she attended BYU-Idaho. On January 18, 2003, Aubree married the love of her life, Derek Harris, in the Portland, Oregon LDS temple. They lived in southern Idaho for a few years, before returning to the Palouse, where they planted deep roots and made Pullman their home.
Aubree was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and a treasured friend. While she possessed a cosmetology degree and was a highly sought-after hairdresser, she chose to leave her career behind to devote 100% of her time, energy, and boundless love to her family. She and Derek were blessed with three amazing children. Together with Derek, she poured her heart into her children's lives, always prioritizing their growth, joy, and interests above her own. She cherished and took very seriously the several years she homeschooled her children.
A woman of profound and unwavering faith, Aubree was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Most recently she taught 3 and 4 year old primary children and served in the Relief Society. She was a dedicated temple worker. Her daily life was a living testament to her Christlike love and service. Aubree was a genuine peacemaker, moving through life with a humble personality, the brightest smile, and the warmest heart. She constantly looked for those who needed a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand. She never sought the spotlight, but she was confident and steady in seeking out those in need. Every person she came in contact with was uplifted by her gentle, caring love. Beyond her devotion to family and faith, Aubree was a gifted artist. She was a skilled actress who thoroughly enjoyed participating in school and community plays, had a beautiful singing voice, and found great joy in painting, particularly with watercolors. Earlier this year Aubree earned an Associate of Arts degree from BYU-Idaho.
Aubree is survived and will be profoundly missed by her beloved husband, Derek Harris, and their three children, Keaton (16), Aspen (13), and Bradley (11), all of Pullman, WA; her devoted parents, Chett and Kim (Pendleton) Mills of Utah; her sister, Aspen (Courteney) Carroll of Nine Mile Falls, WA; her brothers, Jason (Angela) Mills of Seattle, WA; Jared (Joanna) Mills of Rosalia, WA; Ammon (LeAnn) Mills of Maple Valley, WA; and James (Annie) Mills of Kingman, AZ; as well as many deeply loved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
