Bernice Ada Beason, 84, of Colfax passed away on Saturday July 6, 2013 at Whitman Hospital & Medical Center in Colfax. Private family committal services will be held at a later date.
Bernice was born on December 19, 1928 at Yakima, Washington to Vernon and Violet (Radford) Beason. She contracted rheumatic flu at the age of three which caused permanent developmental damage. She was moved to Colfax in the late 1970's and lived there until her death.
Bernice was a wonderful soul and loved the Lord with all her heart. She attended the Colfax Nazarene Church where she wanted to be a Sunday school teacher. She also loved all her dolls, caring for them and talking about them with every person she could.
Bernice is survived by her many friends at Paul's Place and the Nazarene Church in Colfax; her friend and guardian Diane Miller of Colfax and extended family members Tom & Vicki Petty of Asotin.
Bernice will be cremated and her urn will be buried next to her mother at Vineland Cemetery in Clarkston, Washington. Memorial donations are suggested to the Whitman Hospital Auxiliary so that they continue to make the quilts and weavings for those on comfort care as well as their other programs.
