Betty J. Irwin

Betty was born March 1, 1954 to Bob and Glenna Wood in San Francisco, California. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 13, 2023 at the age of 69 in Dayton, WA

Betty was a self-professed jokester. She loved pranks and was a great storyteller with a fun sense of humor. She loved homemade arts and crafts and would often surprise you with a one of a kind treasure. She adored and adopted many animals throughout her life, from potbellied pigs to flying lizards. She loved her "Ol' McBetty Farm" where she raised lamas and goats.

She was very proud of her Cherokee heritage and you would often find her researching her family tree and engaged in genealogy, one of her favorite hobbies.

Betty is survived by her five daughters, Denise (Ron), Pauline (Justin), Brandy, Heather (Kenny) and Alyssa.  Her grandchildren include Tyler, Kane, Kylene, Kyle and she was a very special "Mee-Maw" to Aiden. She leaves behind a brother, Danny and sister, Brenda.  Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Glenna Wood, sister Debbie, and sister Jo Ann.
