Betty J. Reynolds, Pullman resident, passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 at Bishop Place, where she had lived since 2010. She was 95. Private family graveside services were held at the Pullman Cemetery and Betty was laid to rest next to her beloved husband Virgil. She was born February 10, 1921 in Colfax, Washington to Melvin and Mary McAdams Gass. She grew up in Colfax and graduated from high school there. Betty attended Business College in Seattle for a time and then returned to Colfax where she married Virgil Reynolds on September 10, 1942. They made Pullman their home ever since then. Virgil helped his parents run Reynold's Grocery on North Grand and Betty worked for many years as a clerk in the WSU Bookstore. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a social person by nature and they enjoyed dancing together and playing bridge. Betty liked to spend time with friends as well. She liked rock hounding and going to the Snake River. Betty was a long time member of the Phoebean Club. Her husband Virgil passed away in 1990. Betty is survived by two daughters; Dede (Brad) Cleveland of Stanwood, WA., and Gloria (Richard) Froyen of Ventura, CA; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
