BOB WARNICK, 64, of Pullman, WA passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at his Pullman home. Bob was born Nov. 7, 1950 in Yakima, WA to Don Henry & Nancy (Vaughn) Warnick. He grew up and attended school in Yakima and following graduation from high school Bob entered the US Army in 1972. Following his service Bob was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. Bob went to college on the GI Bill and received his bachelor's degree from Eastern Washington University and his masters from Washington State University. He married Cathy Moore in 1971 and together they had two children. They were later divorced in 1985. They family settled in Walla Walla, WA where he taught at Whitman College for a few years. In 1985 Bob accepted a teaching position at Washington State University, where he taught until his retirement in 2011. Bob's passion was his music among other things. He played in different bands through the years and was a fixture during open mic nights at Rico's in downtown Pullman. Bob enjoyed time spent on his house boat at Almota, and loved riding his custom Harley. Time spent with his family was of special importance to Bob, especially time with his children and grandchildren. His family extended to his circle of friends whom he treasured dearly. Bob is survived by his daughter Megan (James) Pylican of Kennewick; his son David Warnick of Beaverton, OR; two sisters Lisa Johnson & Vickie Peunic; his brother Mike Warnick and his four grandchildren James, Gracie, Chloe & Emily. He was preceded in death by his parents. As Bob had requested there will be no public services. A private family celebration will take place at a later date.
