Bonnie Lou (Boyd) Christian, 80, a lifetime resident of Pullman, passed away on Tuesday February 24, 2015 at Pullman Regional Hospital. Private family graveside services will be held at the Pullman Cemetery.
Bonnie was born in Pullman on August 2, 1934 to Harold & Velma (Baldwin) Boyd. She was raised in Pullman and attended the local schools, graduating from Pullman High School in 1952. She married William D. "Bill" Christian in 1952 and the couple settled at the family farm on Christian Road in 1955. Bonnie was a homemaker and enjoyed all sorts of gardening. She cooked meals for the harvest crews and was an avid horsewoman. She worked as a soil tester for the Department of Agriculture and as a study hall aide at Pullman High School. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was so proud of her two grandchildren, Julia and Jesse. She was an excellent cook and she will be terribly missed by all who knew her. Bonnie adored her 2 children Ivy & Bill along with the grandkids.
While Bonnie may now be absent from our daily lives, her loving and caring spirit will live on through her husband Bill Christian at the family home in Pullman; son Bill (Kathryn) Christian of Pullman; daughter Ivy (Mark) Johnson of Benton City and her two grandchildren Julia and Jesse. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother.
Memorial contributions in Bonnie's honor are suggested to the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
