BRENDA JEAN HACKLIN, 66, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 at her Moscow Idaho home. Brenda was born October 30, 1948 in Alexandria, Virginia. She lived in a number of places, including Spokane Washington, but landed in Redding California where she completed her education. Brenda participated in the Junior Sheriff's Posse and rodeo games in high school, running for California State Rodeo Queen and taking a close second. In 1968 Brenda married Bill Hacklin and they made Alaska their home for more than 40 years. She was a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother. Brenda moved to Moscow five years ago to the great joy of her grandchildren. She worked as a seasonal receptionist for H & R Block and cheese packer for the WSU Creamery, taking pride in her work and enjoying her free summers to spend with grandkids and visit family in Oregon. Brenda so enjoyed the outdoors and all that it had to offer. She especially liked to garden and loved viewing wildlife. She loved flowers, especially the old breeds of roses with the strongest scents. Brenda had a deep faith in Christ and served her Lord in all she did throughout her life. She is survived by her daughter's Trish (Nial) Yager of Moscow; Tracy (Chet) Dennis of Gig Harbor, WA; her son T.D. Hacklin of Alaska; her dad Weaver "Pat" (JoAn) Patton of Oregon, and four brothers Alan, Rob, Loren Keith and Wayne; her sister Treva; her eight loving grandchildren and all her nieces and nephews. In honor of her request, no public services will be held. Kimball Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
