Bruce Lyle Bailey, 70, of St. John, WA passed away April 9, 2021 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA.  Bruce was born January 4, 1951 at St. Ignatius Hospital in Colfax, WA to Lyle & Marylu (Loomis) Bailey.  He grew up and attended school in St. John where he graduated from high school.  Bruce enlisted in the US Army serving one year and ten months until his honorable discharge.  He was a team leader for Special Weapons and was part of the 317 ^th Atomic Demolitions Munitions Platoon.  Following his military career Bruce returned to St. John, WA where he married Tammy Lu Fitzgerald on May 8, 1982.  Together they made the family ranch their home where he raised cattle and farmed.  He loved his cows, and had names for all of them through the years.  Bruce also enjoyed camping, fishing as well as working on his cars.  Bruce is survived by his wife Tammy at the family home St. John, WA; his son Blake Bailey of St. John; two brothers Gary (Linda) Bailey of St. John; Mark (Jamie) Bailey of St. John; his brother-in-law Bob Stiffler; sister-in-law Brenda Trunkey and his many nieces, and nephews whom he loved dearly.  Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law Sue Stiffler.  Bruce will be laid to rest with a private family graveside service with Military Honors at the St. John Cemetery, St. John, WA.
