BRUCE JAMES McKENNA SR., 62, recently of Clarkston, WA and a former Pullman resident, passed away on July 29, 2013 in Carmichael, CA surrounded by family while on vacation. Bruce was born Dec. 22, 1950 in San Francisco, CA to James H. McKenna Jr. & Clarice M. (Young) McKenna. Bruce grew up in a military family, living throughout the U.S. and overseas. He graduated from high school in Texas in 1971, later beginning his college studies at Bay Town College in 1973. Bruce graduated in 1978 from Steven F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX with two degrees. Bruce worked in sales until he moved to Pullman in 1998 and started Bruce's Window Washing Service, retiring in 2012. His daughter Amy now operates the business. Bruce enjoyed playing bingo, visiting area casinos & camping. He especially enjoyed fishing and boating on area lakes and rivers; especially the Snake River. Bruce was a member of the Pullman Moose Lodge Family Center since 1999. He is survived by his daughter Amy McKeena and four grandchildren of Lewiston; his son Bruce "James" McKenna Jr. of California; his three sisters Patty (Rob) Hampton of Pullman; Rosemarie (Patrick) Dunbarr of California; Christine (Dave) Vick of Missouri; brother James H. McKeena III of California; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial gathering and potluck will be on Saturday, October 5 at the Pullman Moose Family Center, time to be announced. Memorial donations are suggested to the Pullman Moose Lodge.
