Obituary

Caden Lee Bennett, 10, passed away on June 13, 2026, at Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle following a tragic accident, surrounded by the love of his parents. Caden was born on August 31, 2015, in Colfax, Washington, to Cody Bennett and Trisha Luft. He spent the first year of his life in LaCrosse before dividing his time between Colfax and LaCrosse, where he was blessed to be surrounded by the love of both sides of his family.

Caden had just completed the fourth grade and attended Pomeroy Elementary School. He was an active and energetic boy who loved football, basketball, baseball, and 4-H. Whether he was on the field, in the gym, or spending time outdoors, Caden approached life with enthusiasm and a smile that could brighten any room.

The outdoors was where Caden felt most at home. He loved hunting, fishing, shooting his guns, RC trucks, and spending time in the mountains. He enjoyed life on both of his family’s farms and could often be found riding his four-wheeler or motorcycle whenever he had the chance.

Of all things that brought Caden joy, nothing meant more to him than becoming a big brother. He loved his siblings deeply and was incredibly proud of each of them. He cherished time spent with his friends and cousins and had a gift for making everyone feel important and included.

Caden’s kind heart, infectious smile, and loving nature touched countless lives. He loved fiercely and without reservation. There is no doubt that throughout his life he was surrounded by an abundance of love, and in return he shared that love freely with everyone around him.

Caden is survived by his parents, Trisha (Dal) Webley of Pomeroy, WA, and Cody (Morgan) Bennett of LaCrosse, WA; his siblings, Emory and Wrenlee Webley, and Casey and Clay Bennett; his maternal grandparents, Gary and Janet Luft; his paternal grandparents, Jim and Dena Bennett; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Trevor Bennett, and by his maternal and paternal great-grandparents.

A Celebration of Life honoring Caden will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds. Caden will be laid to rest in the LaCrosse Cemetery surrounded by his family.

Though his time here was far too short, the memories Caden created, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave will remain in the hearts of those who knew him forever.
