CATHY J. MINEHART, 69, of Johnson, WA passed away Sept. 12, 2015 at her Johnson home surrounded by her family. Cathy was born June 24, 1946 in Ruebens, ID. She grew up and attended school there, graduating from Ruebens High School and then went on to start her family on the prairie. Cathy owned and operated the Camas Club Restaurant with a friend in Craigmont for a number of years. On July 20, 1990 she married Gary Minehart where the family homestead was established to date. Cathy worked in the school of veterinary medicine at Washington State University until she retired due to medical issues. She put up a courageous battle with Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 25 years, never letting the disease define her life. She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. Spending time with her family was of utmost importance, particularly time spent with her beloved grandchildren. She loved to cook, garden, craft and especially enjoyed making gifts for others. Cathy will truly be missed by all. She is survived by her husband Gary at the family home in Johnson; her children Ryan (Amy) Wallace of Genesee; Michelle (Robert) Blume of Lewiston: Dawn (Monica) Wallace of Alameda, CA; Kyle (Donna) Johnson of Monroe, WA; Korey Johnson of Spokane. Cathy is also survived by her 11 grandchildren Jenarae, Michael, Matthew, Alli, Benjamin, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Elle, Claira, Lucy & Kyle; as well as one great granddaughter Lainey. She was preceded in death by two daughters Kelly Bond & Koleen Wagner. A private family memorial service will be held. Kimball Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations are suggested to be mailed to the family home.
