C.E. "ED" COTTLE, 89, of Colfax, passed away May 29, 2013 at his Colfax home. No public services will be held. Ed was born March 5, 1924 in Kingsland, GA. Following graduation from highschool, Ed served in the US Army during World War II as a Paratrooper. His tour of duty included Sicily, Naples-Foggia & Normandy. Ed was highly decorated including the Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart and the EAME Ribbon with 3 Bronze Service Stars. He married Clarine Keck in 1980 and following many years in Houston, TX they moved to Colfax 15 years ago where they have made their home. He is survived by his wife Clarine of Colfax; his daughter Raylene Lawrence; 2 grandchildren Caylene Knox & D'Anna Jones and 5 great grandchildren Madison, Mallory, Levi, Landon & Roza Knox.
