Cecil Francis, Pullman resident, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at Bishop Place. He was 88. No formal services are planned at this time. Cecil Avon "Skip" Francis was born May 7, 1928 in Almont, Michigan to parents Edwin W. Francis (d. 1977) and Edith P. Glassford (d. 1990). He had one older brother Clare E. Francis (d. 1999) Cecil was born and raised in St. Clair County, Michigan. He married Patricia Ann Kelly on February 17, 1951 in Port Huron, Michigan. Cecil served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 serving in the Korean War. He earned the Korean SVC Medal with 2 bronze stars. Cecil and Pat moved their family to Kirkland, Washington in 1966 where he worked for Boeing for over 25 years as an engineer. His hobbies included hunting, bowling, gardening, and card games. His wife Patricia passed away in 2003. Two years ago, Cecil moved to Pullman to be closer to family. He had three children: son Mark Francis of New Jersey, son David W. Francis (1957-2002), and daughter Kelly (Rod) Davis of Loon Lake, Washington. Cecil also has two grandchildren: grandson Ryan (Sarah) Davis of Marysville, WA. and granddaughter Stephanie Davis of Loon Lake, WA. On-line guest book is at www.kimballfh.com
