CLAUDE A. FALER, 68, a lifelong Pullman resident, passed away on May 28, 2015 at the Avalon Care Center in Pullman. Claude was born July 12, 1946 in Pullman to George & Lillian (Novotny) Faler. He grew up and attended Pullman schools. Following high school graduation Claude entered the US Navy serving during the Vietnam Era. He was stationed in California and Florida. It was during this time that Claude married Joyce Marie Knisley. They had one son, David, and they later divorced. Claude returned home to Pullman following his honorable discharge and has made Pullman his home since that time. Claude tended bar for a time and later began his career at WSU in the housekeeping department. He served the WSU community for many years until retiring in 2011. Claude was an avid Cougar and was always active within Cougar athletics where he worked with the scoreboards for football, basketball and baseball through the years. Claude was a lifetime member of the Pullman Moose Family Center. He served in many different capacities including Governor. He had a special relationship with all of his Moose brothers and sisters as well as with Moose Heart. Claude's interests included photography, fishing computers, ham radio and playing Disc Golf. Claude is survived by his son David (Colleen) Faler; five sisters Peggi FalerSweany; Mary Claar; Barbara Pace; Susan Ellis; Patricia Pedersen; two brothers Keith and Kevin Faler; 4 grandchildren Kelli, Abby, Julia & Lily. Claude was preceded in death by his parents in 2010. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 AM to 4 PM today (Tuesday) at Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman, WA. The memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, June 3rd at the funeral home with a reception to follow at the Moose Lodge. Memorial donations are suggested to Moose Heart International.
