IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel Arthur
Boyd
April 23, 1954 – January 31, 2026
Daniel Arthur Boyd, 71, passed away January 31, 2026 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA due to complications from a broken hip and subsequent surgery.
Dan was born April 23, 1954 in Pullman to Frank and Laveta Boyd, joining his brothers and sisters Mike, Joyce, John, Jim, Patricia, Janet and Carolyn. He was raised on the family farm just north of Pullman. Dan graduated from Pullman High School in 1972 and Washington State University in 1977, majoring in agricultural science. Dan's primary occupation was Farmer. He and Frank farmed not only their land but also the neighbors' adjoining land and did custom farming on the breaks of Almota. Dan continued to live on the family farm all of his life. In the off season, Dan would often take his parents on vacations and trips to visit extended family. He was also known to head into the woods with snowmobiles and his college buddies as well as a trip or two to Las Vegas. At the holidays, Dan was an exceptional host, having Prime Rib every year for Christmas Eve. After retiring from farming, Dan became a carrier for the Moscow Pullman Daily News and the Daily Evergreen and then transferred to the USPS in Pullman. Dan had a heart of gold! He would always do what he could to help a friend in need. He was also a very fun-loving guy, always eager to stop and talk, telling jokes and stories. An avid Cougar fan, Dan followed the football team without fail.
Dan is survived by his brother Mike Boyd of Pullman, niece Cheryl Rodeen (husband Rob), great nephew John Lawson (wife Shannon and children Leo and Ana) also of Pullman and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews near and far. He will be missed immensely.
At Dan's request, no services will be held. Corbeill Funeral Homes of Pullman has been entrusted with arrangements. Donations in Dan's honor may be made to the Whitman County Rural Fire District.
