IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David C.
Moneymaker
January 16, 1943 – May 28, 2025
David Charles Moneymaker passed away at his home in Uniontown WA on May 28, 2025, with his wife Adele by his side. Dave was born in Uniontown to Roy and Bertilla (Heitstuman) Moneymaker on January 16, 1943, joining a brother Maurice with whom he would experience many adventures (and misadventures) with during their lives in Uniontown.
Dave completed grade school at St. Boniface Catholic School in Uniontown and graduated from Colton High School in 1961. As an avid fisherman he spent many hours on local lakes and the Snake River with friends and family swapping stories and catching a few fish. His most cherished fishing moments were those spent teaching his grandchildren the enjoyment of fishing and being outdoors.
He and Adele spent many years camping throughout the U.S with all their camping friends. His hobbies included growing a vegetable garden, woodworking and yard work including landscaping his kids' homes. His best days in life were always in the outdoors! Dave also had a love of sports, cheering on his grandkids, Cougs, Zags, and Mariners.
Uniontown benefited from his many hours of volunteer work with the Uniontown Fire Department, the Uniontown Community Building, the restoration of Memorial Park, the Dahmen Barn, and the Jacobs building. He was a lifelong member of St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Dave worked in many industries from construction on Lower Granite Dam, buildings at WSU, Palouse Empire Mall, and the Kibbie Dome to driving truck for Pacific Fruit Co., Busch Distributors, and in retirement, for Lester Wolf Farms. By far his favorite work came from the years he spent farming with his dad and brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Adele (Mustard), children Brenda of Spokane, Jim (Kathy) of Spokane, Rodger (Jaci) of Uniontown, Donna (Ben) Wolf of Uniontown, grandchildren Sam Wolf, Jake (Jenny) Wolf, Kalynn Moneymaker, Ashley (Dylan) Stirn, Matt Wolf and step-grandchildren Caitlin Smith and Tyler Smith. Brother Daniel of Knoxville TN, sisters-in-law Joan (Wes) Schatz, Janice Chenette, Estel Mustard, and Judy Mustard, as well as many nephews and nieces. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, brother Maurice and Rita (Zellerhoff) Moneymaker, father and mother-in-law Tom & Elaine (Kirpes) Mustard, brothers-in-law Jerry Chenette, Marv Mustard, and Darell Mustard.
Services will be held on July 7 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Uniontown WA. Rosary starting at 10:30 AM with Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM immediately followed by a luncheon at the Uniontown Community Building. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Catholic Church Endowment fund or to the Colton-Uniontown EMS and Fire Association. Corbeill Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
The family wishes to express their deep gratitude for all the prayers and support from the communities of Colton and Uniontown especially Father B, Stephanie and Gentiva Hospice, Janice, Susan, Steve, Bruce, Lisa, Laura, and Brian.
