Debi Haupt, a longtime resident of Steptoe, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from natural causes—just under four months after the passing of her beloved husband of nearly 42 years.

Private family services will be held at Bethel Cemetery in Steptoe.

Debi's greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a unique gift for turning everyday moments into lasting memories. Whether it was jumping in puddles in Hawaii, playing cards late into the night, exploring the creek, or countless afternoons at Chuck E. Cheese, her love and energy made every experience special.

The family is deeply grateful for the continued support from the community during this time of profound loss.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Debi's memory to the Whitman County Humane Society, reflecting her lifelong love for animals.
