Della J. Ruddy, 87, of Pullman, WA passed away May 24, 2024 at Regency of Pullman retirement community.  Della was born December 23, 1936 to Deuward & Pearl (Anderson) Lawrence in Valley City, ND.  Della was a member of the exceptional 1955 Graduation Class of Rogers High School in Spokane, WA.  Della met Allan J. Ruddy on a dance floor in 1952 and danced their way across other dance halls around the region for seven decades together.  Besides dancing with her husband, cooking, baking and her grandchildren were a close second in her life.  Della was the best ever Head Cook at Pullman High School and famous among students, staff and election workers for her homemade cinnamon rolls.  Della was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pullman.  She is survived by her husband Allan Ruddy of Pullman; her children Shauna Ruddy Startzel (David), of Woodinville, WA; Teresa Ruddy Landrum (Darrell) of Lewiston, ID; Ryan Ruddy (Therese) of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren Danielle Werner, Breanna Startzel, Scott Startzel, Miranda Ferry and Heath Brewer and 6 great grandchildren.  Della was preceded in death by her son Jerald Ruddy; sisters Verneita Anderson and Norma Jones.  The memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1300 NE Lybecker Road in Pullman, WA.  Corbeill Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.  Memorial donations are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
