Devin, always one for the grand entrance, arrived two months early on March 5, 1984 in Loma Linda, California. His exit was unusually quiet and peaceful in the arms of love on June 12, 2013 at the age of
29, much too early.

There is nothing that can be said in a few short words that can capture or do justice to a life, no
matter how brief or long that life might be. Devin graduated from Colfax High School in June 2002.
He loved working at Beasley Auditorium at WSU, was a brilliant writer, lover of music – his own
special choices! – he was a walking encyclopedia of movie trivia, a knight conquering his own demons,
but most especially a maker of family not just friends.

Devin never met a stranger and brought most of them home to stay as will be witnessed by all the kids and the vast array of tents camping on his parents' lawn this weekend for Devfest because grief is better shared.

If we had to list all of the people Devin considered family there would not be room in this paper, but surviving are his parents Dick & Jeri Stanton and brother Shea Douglas Stanton of Colfax and his loving girlfriend Brinnon Johnson, Colfax; one aunt, and lots of cousins all in California.
Preceding Devin were his grandparents James T. and Arlene F. Stanton, James T. Stanton Jr. and
Gerald H. & Rhea E. Douglas, all of
Riverside, California.

In accordance with what we believe Devin would have wanted and family tradition, there will be an Irish wake – by definition a giant party with refreshments – held at the Eagles in Colfax on Saturday, June 22, 2013 starting at 5:00 p.m.

Please bring memories to share and any photos you wish to share or leave for us; we have lost so many. And in the usual Devin style, ALL ARE WELCOME!
