Obituary

Diana Kaye Duncan, 70, of Oakesdale passed away on November 25, 2014 at Whitman Hospital in Colfax. A Celebration of Life gathering in her honor will be announced after the holidays.

Diana was born on March 21, 1944 in Colfax to Pete & Wanda (Brooks) Brown. She grew up in Oakesdale and attended all twelve years of schooling there, graduating from Oakesdale High School in 1962. She attended technical school in Lewiston to become a beautician and worked in that field for a few years after graduating from the program. She met Bob Duncan in Lewiston after he helped her change a flat tire one evening and the couple married on December 31, 1982. They lived in Lewiston after their marriage and retired to Oakesdale in 1993.

She was an avid golfer, a bowler and was described by her family as a hard working woman. She was an excellent homemaker and will be remembered by her daughter as someone who knew how to sew, iron and get a stain out of anything. She was an excellent cook and made delightful fried chicken, roasts and casseroles.

Diana is survived by her husband Bob at the family home in Oakesdale; son Reese Edwards of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; son Kurt (Christina) Edwards of the Tri-Cities and daughter Nicole Edwards of Seattle. She is also survived by her brothers Ron, Larry, Dick and Mike Brown all of Oakesdale. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob Brown and infant son Eric Michael Edwards.

Memorial contributions in Diana's honor are suggested to the Whitman Hospital Foundation. Bruning Funeral Home of Colfax has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
