DONALD L. "CORK" CHRISTIAN, 87, a lifelong Pullman, WA resident died March 19, 2016 at Bishop Place Retirement Community in Pullman, WA. Don was born August 20, 1928 in Pullman to Ira & Dessie (Hatley) Christian. He grew up in Pullman, graduating from Pullman High School. Following graduation Don went to work for Pullman's first fertilizer company and later began his career with the McGregor Company. He spent over 30 years with McGregor as a Mechanic until his retirement. Don married Ann Sherman on April 29, 1968 in Pullman where the couple made their home. Don was an accomplished artist and following his retirement he devoted much time to his western art. Later in life when he moved to Bishop Place, Don enjoyed walking and his time spent watching he rolling hills of the Palouse. He is survived a brother Bill Christian Sr. of Pullman; his sister Helen (Joe) Campero of Pullman; sister-in-law Sandy Christian of Clarkston and all of his nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Don was preceded in death by his wife Ann, two brothers Harlon and Wayne Christian and a sister Carol Fitzpatrick. The viewing for family and friends will be held from 3 to 6 PM on Wednesday, March 23rd at Kimball Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11 AM at the Pullman Cemetery. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
