Doris G. Potts (Jones), age 91, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, in Spokane, Washington. She was born on April 13, 1933, in St. John, Washington, to Emma and Ed Jones and was one of seven siblings.

Doris married James W. Potts in 1958, and they made their home in Lamont until 2001, when they relocated to Spokane. Together they had three daughters: Debbie, Sandie and Lori.

Doris and Jim were wheat farmers, working side by side to build a life and a legacy for their family. In addition to farming, Doris held various jobs, from working at the grain company to refurbishing furniture. However, her most cherished roles were those of wife, mother, and grandmother.

Doris leaves behind her loving husband, James W. Potts; three daughters, Debbie, Sandie, and Lori; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Ed Jones, and her six siblings.

Doris enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She also loved visiting the casino with her husband, Jim. Her warm smile, loving spirit, and dedication to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the Spokane Lynwood Seventh-day Adventist Church at 6525 N Monroe St in Spokane at 1 p.m.
