Dorothy Berry, 96, of St. John passed away on November 30, 2013 at Community Pride Assisted Living in St. John. At Dorothy's request no public services will be held.

Dorothy was born on April 6, 1917 at Conrad, Montana to George Elder and Lura (Fouts) Griggs. She graduated from Lewis Clark High School in Spokane with the class of 1935 and went on to attend Kinneman Business College. She dedicated most of her life to being a civil servant, working for the United States Government in Alaska and for the Canadian Government in the Yukon Territory.

She was a very active lady, working in her garden, spending time reading and enjoying her family. Dorothy moved to St. John in 2010 to be closer to her family and moved into Community Pride Assisted Living in 2011.

Dorothy is survived by her nephew Dale (Gail) Griggs of St. John and several nieces and nephews.
