Edith "Edie" P. Clark, 83, passed away at 10:11 AM on October 11th, 2016 at Bishop Place Retirement Community. Edie lived in the Alton, Illinois area for most of her life before relocating to Idaho in 2008 to be with her son and his family. She worked at Alton Banking and Trust for many years.
Edie was born September 15th, 1933 in Raven Den, Arkansas, the daughter of Era and Hiram Teat. Raised by Era and her husband, Anson Woosley of Wood River, Illinois, Edie married Leigh Lawrence of Alton, Illinois in 1955 and is survived by their son, Marc Lawrence of Potlatch, Idaho and his wife, Jill (Aiman) Lawrence. Edie later married Paul Clark of Alton in 1981. Paul is survived by his children, Paula, Scott, Jennifer and their children.
Additionally, Edie is survived by her siblings and their families: Wilma (Leo) Dilks of Wood River, Illinois, Esther (Frank) Zagar of Alabaster, Alabama, Luther (Violet) Teat of Huntsville, Alabama, the family of her deceased sister, Evelyn (Tom) Powers of Alton, Illinois, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
After moving to Idaho, Edie helped her son, Marc, produce his long-running radio program ("The Sounds Chunky Show"), and she meant it when she said, "I'd rather dance than eat!". She will be remembered as a fun-loving, kind woman that everyone knew they could count on. The family extends their gratitude and thanks to the staff of Bishop Place in Pullman, Washington for their kind care.
Mrs. Edith Clark will be interred at the family's home in suburban Potlatch, Idaho. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA is caring for the family. Memorials may be made to her favorite listener-supported, community radio station, KRFP at 114 E. 3rd St., Moscow, ID 83843.
