EDNA M. FRY, 97, passed away on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 at Whitman Health & Rehab Center in Colfax, WA. Edna was born May 29, 1914 in Colfax to David & Anna (McNeilly) Taylor. She grew up outside of Colfax and while a student at Colfax High Edna boarded and worked for the Bruning family until graduating from Colfax High School. She married Miles C. Fry on Nov. 15, 1935 in Moscow, ID. They made Colfax their home until moving to Kellogg, ID where he worked for the railroad and Bunker Hill. They returned to Colfax where Edna continued her life as a loving wife, mother and homemaker. In 1962 the family moved to Spokane. Following Miles death in 1964 Edna continued to make Spokane her home, where she worked in the nursing home industry as a housekeeper. She finally retired at the age of 70 and moved to Deer Park, WA where she has made her home since. Edna's family was the most important thing in her life. Time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was most dear to her. Edna is survived by her daughter Claudia Anderson of Deer Park; her son Daryl Fry of Colfax; 11 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren. Besides her husband Miles, Edna was preceded in death by an infant daughter Kathleen; 2 sons David & Michael Fry; 6 siblings and one grandson. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 at Bruning Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at the Colfax Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home is caring for the family.
