Edward James Kramer, 84, of Pullman, died February 22, 2016 of internal complications at his Pullman home. Ed was born October 6, 1931 in Colton, WA to Ed and Margaret (Busch) Kramer, on his parent's farm in Whitman County southeast of Colton, WA. He graduated from Colton High School in 1949 and graduated from Seattle University in 1954 with an accounting degree. Ed's first job out of college was working for Security State Bank in Colton. He left the bank to pursue tax accounting in Spokane for one year. Not liking the tax accountant work he came back to Colton where he was hired by Walt Nelson at Johnson Union Warehouse in Johnson, WA, working there for a few years. It was the best job he ever had. In 1961 Ed left Colton for Alaska to begin a new life adventure working for the State of Alaska Airport and Park Services. Ed was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church, belonged to the Colton Knights of Columbus and was a historian, genealogist and a member of the Whitman County Genealogy Society. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Leonard, Norm, Robert and Daniel. He is survived by his sister Carol Plymale of Everett, WA; sisters-in-laws Mary Ellen (Heistutman) Kramer of Boise and Janet (Reisenauer) Kramer who resides on the family farm in Colton along with his many nephews and nieces who he held close to him. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at St. Gall's Church in Colton, WA at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 14th at St. Gall. Vault inurnment will follow at St. Gall Catholic Cemetery. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA have been entrusted with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the St. Gall's Church Endowment Fund.
