Elaine K. Burns, 74, passed away from breast cancer on April 15, 2025 at her home in Colfax surrounded by her family. She was born in Colfax, WA on January 16, 1951 to Harold and Beatrice (Campbell) Miller who were the owners of Miller's Welding.  She grew up in Colfax where she attended school, graduating with the class of 1969. Shortly after graduating from high school, she moved to Spokane to live with her sister. After a few years she moved back to Colfax where she met John Burns. They married on January 17th, 1987 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and together they made their home in Colfax where they raised their three children; Christi, Brandon, and Katie. All Elaine wanted in life was to be a wife and a mother. She loved her husband and her kids with everything she had.

She is survived by her husband at their home in Colfax, John; her three children, Christi (Stephen) Jones of Winthrop, WA, Brandon Bobst of Spokane, WA, and Katie (Josh) Beggs of Colfax, WA; five grandchildren, Brayden Charette, Isabella Moore, Athena Bobst, Perrin and Alaina Broncheau. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her three siblings, Leland Miller, Kathy Kramer, and Ernie Miller. Corbeill Funeral Homes is caring for the family.
