Ellen Adel Brewer passed away Monday, June 16, 2025 in Pullman, Washington. She was 92. A graveside service will be Monday, June 30th, at 10:00 AM in the Pullman Cemetery.

She was born December 17, 1932 in Walla Walla, Washington. Ellen attended schools in Walla Walla and graduated from high school there. She was the daughter of Lucylle and Browning Mansfield and Phillip A. Yenney. Ellen married John W. Brewer on November 16, 1952 at Walla Walla. They made their home on the family farm in the Union Flat area of Whitman County, just outside of Pullman.

She was a member of the Johnson Grange #118 for over 50 years serving as Treasurer and Secretary. She was also a member of Eastern Star and the Union Flat Community Club. She loved horses and watching rodeos.

Ellen is survived by her 4 children; sons Harold (Julie) Brewer of Walla Walla, Jim Brewer, Lewiston, Idaho, and Elroy Brewer, Pullman; her daughter, Mary (Jerry) Sloot of Colfax; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and by her sister, Merilyn Ohlson of Whidbey Island, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband John Brewer in 2007, a grandson, Wiley Brewer, her parents, a brother Alan and a sister Muriel.
