ETHEL M. OSMOND, 92, of Moscow, passed away Dec. 19, 2015 at Good Samaritan Village, Moscow. Ethel was born March 26, 1923 in Riverhead, New York to Fred & Irene (Carr) Carter. She grew up in Quogue, NY where she attended school. Following graduation from high school, Ethel attended St. Luke's Hospital school of nursing in New York City, where she received her RN degree. She married George C. Osmond Sr. on May 22, 1949 in Quogue, NY and the family made their home in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey. There Ethel worked as a nurse in doctors' offices through the years. In 1973, the family moved to Sparta, NJ, where she lived until 1991. She and George then moved to Moscow, ID where she has since resided. Ethel enjoyed gardening, snow skiing, boating and traveling. She had a special love of being on the water throughout her life. She is survived by her daughter Jean Grammer, of Spokane; her son George C. Osmond, Jr. (Pat) of Oviedo, FL; one grandchild and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, and her husband, George, in 1997.
