IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frankie Faye
Rima-Hinrichs
April 20, 1936 – December 14, 2025
Frankie Faye Rima-Hinrichs, 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Pullman, WA on December 14th.
Born and raised on a cattle ranch near the Canadian border, about an hour north of Colville, Washington, Faye was the only child of Frank and Marion Ells. She graduated in 1955 from a small rural high school class of 12 and later attended Washington State University.
After college, she met Frank Rima Jr., and together they raised four children: Gayle Anderson, Arlene Bruce, Bill Rima, and Mike Rima. Faye began her career as a public-school teacher at Franklin Elementary before dedicating herself full time to her family and to helping operate Rima Building Supplies.
An adventurous spirit, Faye loved travel and the outdoors. She and her family ran the Snake River before jet boats made it common and spent summers at their cabin on Lake Coeur d'Alene and winters skiing at McCall, ID.
Frank and Faye divorced after 28 years together. Faye found love again with Robert (Bob) Hinrichs. They had a loving marriage for 21 years. Faye happily embraced all the activities of the large Hinrichs' family. As a shared passion, Faye and Bob designed and built many homes in Pullman.
In her later years, Faye enjoyed painting, making jewelry, family travels and the friendships she formed at Bishop Place. She passed away four months shy of her 90th birthday.
Faye will be remembered for her enthusiasm, generosity and deep love for family. Faye is survived by her four children and her grandchildren Alyssa Anderson, Jessica Ahern, Jarred Bruce, Joey Rima, Jimmy Rima, and Raya Rima. She also became a proud great grandma four months ago to little James Ahern.
There will be a celebration of life for Faye in Spring of 2026. Corbeill Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
