Obituary

Gary G. Gunn, 62, of Pullman passed away at Pullman Regional Hospital on Sunday, June 7, 2015 after a short illness. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13 at Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman with the Rev. Jeannette Solimine officiating.

Gary was born on November 10, 1952 in Inglewood, California to Norman & Margaret 'Pegi' (Browne) Gunn. He grew up in Petaluma, California and graduated high school there in 1971. After high school, he attended technical college, training as an electronics technician. After graduation, Gary went to work for Watkins-Johnson as an electronics technician, working both stateside and internationally as a consultant. He left the industry in the mid 1990s and moved to Phoenix where he worked for several years as a taxi driver. When his mother required assistance to live at home, Gary moved to Santa Rosa, California to care for her and they then moved to Pullman in 2012 to be closer to his daughter and grandson.

In his younger days, Gary enjoyed deer hunting, trout fishing and camping. He was an excellent bowler who had a great ball release, something his daughter and brothers fondly remember. Gary slowed down later in life but never gave up his love of fishing. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Gary is survived by his daughters, Pegi Gunn of Pullman and Gina Gunn of Reno; son Patrick (Jazmine) Gunn of Reno, NV; grandchildren Patrick Gunn, Jr., JT McPherson and Bonnie Mae Gunn; brothers Tyler Gunn of Alaska and Richard Gunn of Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Christopher.

Memorial contributions in Gary's honor are suggested to the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the Pullman Fire Department and the staff of Pullman Regional Hospital for their prompt and professional care of Gary during his final day on earth. The kindnesses you offered for our dad and brother means more than you will ever know.

Kimball Funeral Home & Crematory of Pullman has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
