Gary Ray Johnson, 50, of Colfax passed away suddenly on Sunday April 24, 2016. A memorial service will be held on April 29th at 1pm at Brunings Funeral Home.

Gary was born November 30, 1965 in Oroville Washington and adopted by Robert and Zelma Johnson at the age of 3 months. Gary attended Omak School until the age of 21 and graduated from school in 1987. He lived in several homes before coming to Colfax to make his new home at DreamWorks Residential on January 18, 2011.

Gary was a man's man, he loved country music, working outside and playing his guitars. He loved collecting Hot Wheels cars and classic cars. He had a wonderful sense of humor and considered many of his caregivers and management team to be his family. He loved spending time with his Mother, sister and her family. He looked forward to going to visit and stay with his family and friends. He worked at BOOST Collaborative in Pullman Washington for over 4 years where he worked on the mobile crew. He loved to play card games with staff and be outside as much as possible. His favorite place to eat was the Top Notch in Colfax. He loved all the people who worked there. He considered them his friends and they treated him like family.

Gary had a love for country music, fast cars, family and friends at DreamWorks. Gary is survived by his Mother Zelma Johnson, his sister Kari her husband Keith, and their children Meghan and Matt. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Johnson.
