Obituary

Geraldine M. "Jerry" Bidle, life long Albion area resident, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 30, 2025. She was 98 years old. A graveside service will be Monday, December 8th at 1:00 PM in the Pullman Cemetery immediately followed by a Celebration of Life reception at Zeppoz.

She was born May 17, 1927 on the family farm near Albion to Clarence and Gladys Johnson. She grew up in the country and graduated from Albion High School. When she was 17; she married Vern Bidle on June 10, 1944. They were high school sweethearts and wanted to get married just before he began basic training with the U.S. Navy. Their first home was while stationed at Port Chicago in Concord, California.

They moved back to Albion in 1946 and son Paul was born soon after. Vern worked on the farm and Jerry kept very busy as a mother and homemaker. As time went by; it wasn't long before her family with four children was complete. She joyfully followed them in all of their school or extra-curricular activities and she absolutely loved spending time with family. Jerry was a giver and often wanted to make sure everyone was well taken care of. "What can I get you?, something to eat, something to drink" was a question she always asked anyone around.

Later in life they enjoyed the grandkids and all of their activities. They spent summers at their lake home on Coeur d'Alene Lake and travelled to Arizona in the winter for many years. Jerry was talented and enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, and creative projects that brought out her artistic talent. Vern passed away in 2006 and unfortunately her son Steven passed away in 2021.  She remained strong and was the rock of the family. She was loved by all and will be truly missed.

She is survived by her children; Paul (Diana) Bidle of Pullman, Diane (Jack) Emick of Mercer Island, WA. and Vicki Padilla, Pullman, by 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren (12 on the way) and by 2 great-great-grandchildren (with #3 due soon). She felt truly blessed by her large extended family.

Memorial gifts in her memory can be made to the Friends of Hospice, 110 E. Canyon St., Colfax, WA. 99111 On-line guest book is at www.corbeillfuneralhomes.com
