Glenn R. Duffin, retired LaCrosse truck driver, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at the Whitman Health & Rehab Center in Colfax where he stayed for a short time. He was 86. A Community Potluck to celebrate Glenn's life will be held at 5:00 pm in the LaCrosse Park on Wednesday, August 30th. Glenn was born February 28, 1931 in Portland, Oregon to Ervin and Brumhilda Pedersen Duffin. He was one of nine children born to the Duffin's and spent most of his formative years in Western Montana. In his younger days Glenn enjoyed racing snowmobiles in Montana. Glenn worked as a long haul truck driver for many years. He also worked for Durand Cox on the ranch at LaCrosse and drove truck for H/H Trucking out of Dusty for many years. Glenn married Nancy Kay Price Oles on April 19, 2002. They lived in LaCrosse for many years and following Glenn's illness Nancy was his primary caregiver in the home. Glenn retired in 2005 and they spent a few winters traveling to Arizona as snowbirds. They loved to ride their quad 4-wheelers and go rock hounding. Glenn is survived by his wife Nancy at their home in LaCrosse; a daughter, Judy DeAmeic of New Hampshire; and 3 step-children, Charlie Oles and Iva Roberts both of LaCrosse and Penny Mendez of Portland; as well as by 3 brothers and a sister, Ted of Provo, UT., Roger of Henderson, NV., Linden of Chester, MT. and Eleanor Wolfe of Yakima, WA. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Roger Price of Stites, ID., and sister-in-law Mazie Hightower of Kamiah, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents and by 4 siblings.
