Gregory Michael Hurst, 61, of Pullman, WA, passed away on February 15, 2025, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ID. Greg was born on September 19, 1963, in Gilroy, CA to Carrel & Esther (Birks) Hurst. The family later relocated to Elgin, Oregon, where he grew up and attended school, graduating from Elgin High School in 1982. Greg went to work at the Boise Cascade Mill in Elgin for a time, later working with his brother Curt in the RV repair industry. In 2008, he settled in Pullman, WA, and in March 2009, he co-founded Dust Busters Cleaning Service with Shuree. Greg and Shuree tied the knot on July 12, 2016, in Moscow, ID, and made Pullman their permanent residence.
Greg harbored a profound love for music, frequently enjoying live performances by 6 String Circus. Greg's nurturing demeanor saw him imparting valuable life lessons to his children, making him a beacon of light in everyone's life.
He is survived by his wife, Shuree, at their family home in Pullman; his children, Valyn (Trenton) Phelps, Kyanna Hurst, Lexus Emery, Aiden Boylen (Jazmine Bonner), Justin Cairns (Abby Spurgeon), , Mark Boylen, Cortnie (Ty) Strohmaier, and Brian Scott; a sister, Lanna (Andrew) Dollar; two brothers, Curtis (Lillie) Hurst and Eugene (Kathleen) Hurst; his six grandchildren, Michael & Evelyn Strohmaier, Brynlee & Sawyar Phelps, Nevaeh Boylen, and Rico; as well as several nieces and nephews.
