Harriett Harrington of Pullman, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 surrounded by family and cared for by the loving staff and nurses of Bella Vista Adult Family Home and Gentiva Hospice. She was 95 years old. Harriet was born on September 9, 1920 to Harry Otis and Elva King Withey in Cooperstown, New York. In 1940, Harriett married Albert H. Harrington, a fellow student at Cornell University.
She was a resident of Pullman for seventy years, and for most of that time she was active with her church and community. She also enjoyed camping, woodworking, stained glass, fishing, travel, and gardening, as well as a myriad of other activities.
Harriet is survived by six children-Ann (Bozer), Kate, John, Peg, David, and Rowena; thirteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Peter.
A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Harriett's life. Kimball Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
