Ida Mae Reich, Endicott native, passed away May 24, 2012 at the Clarkston Care Center. She was 82. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 31st at 1:30 pm in the chapel of Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will follow at the Endicott Cemetery. Ida Mae was born April 9, 1930 in Colfax to William T. and Mae (Horton) Clark. She moved to the family farm near Endicott when she was five years old. Ida Mae graduated from Endicott High School. She married Donald Reich soon thereafter on September 14, 1947. They made their home on the farm where Donald kept busy with the farming activities and Ida Mae enjoyed her role as homemaker. She was an enthusiastic supporter of her kids and attended any activity they might be involved in. She loved cats, dogs, and horses and always had several of each. She and Donald were members of the Rebel Flat Grange at Diamond and Ida Mae always helped on the farm wherever she could. She also belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott. In the late 1970's Donald took a job with the U.S. Postal Service and they moved to Pullman. She taught piano from her home and at times she was teaching up to 42 students per week and going six days a week. They also liked to square dance and were members of the Pullman Frolickers Square Dance Club. They moved to Clarkston in 1979 and she continued teaching piano for over twenty years down there. They moved to a ranch near Pomeroy in 1990 where she could again enjoy her animals. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Donald at their Pomeroy home; 2 children and their spouse, Kathy & Tom Zornes of Oakesdale and Tom & Gena Reich of Kennewick; 3 grandchildren, Arron and Conor Reich and Joy Zornes. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Peter Zornes in 2005, her brother, Paul Clark and a foster sister, Marie Benner. On-line
