Inez L. Broweleit, 91, a longtime Colfax, Washington resident and recently of Spokane Valley, WA passed away Jan. 14, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society in Spokane Valley, WA. Inez was born March 29, 1926 in Dodge, N. Dakota to Alfred & Gertrude (Bergum) Pederson. She grew up in North Dakota and Minnesota. Following graduation from high school in North Dakota Inez moved to Bismarck, N. Dakota where she attended school at Bismarck Evangelical Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1947. She moved to Colfax, WA in 1948 and began her nursing career that spanned many years. On November 15, 1951 Inez married Elmer Broweleit and together they made their home on the family farm outside Colfax on the Almota Road. Inez was a loving and devoted farm wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, quilting, gardening, canning and cooking. Inez was a devoted woman of faith throughout her life and was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her daughter Christine (Wayne) Myers of Spokane Valley, WA; three grandsons Kevin (Hannah) Myers; Jason (Nikki) Myers; Mike (Kierrian) Myers; three great grandchildren with one on the way; her sister Marilyn Benjamin; two brothers Doug (Lynn) & Jerry (Bobbie) Pederson and her sister-in-law Erin Pederson. Inez was preceded in death by her husband Elmer in 1991, daughter Gail Broweleit in 1999 and three brothers. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:30 am at Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax, WA. Burial will take place at the Colfax Cemetery at 10:30 am. Viewing will be from 9am to 4pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the funeral home. The family suggested memorial donations are made to the Union Gospel Mission at 1224 E. Trent Ave., Spokane, WA 99202.
