Maynard Jackson McCullough

Jack passed away peacefully on the evening of February 20, 2011 in Colfax, WA. at the age of 94. He was born on November 7, 1916 in Caldwell, ID and moved to Whatcom County in Washington as a child. Jack joined the army in 1942 and served 3 years in the South Pacific. After his discharge from the service he attended Western Washington University and received a Bachelors Degree in Education. He married Lillian on September 24, 1948 and they were married for 61 years until her passing in December of 2009. Jack began his teaching career in Molson, WA. where he taught 7th and 8th grades and served as the elementary principal. He held the same positions in both Darrington, WA. and Hay, WA. He spent the last 12 years of his education career as the Assistant Superintendent of Whitman County Schools. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. A memorial gathering will be held at the Selbu Lutheran Church in Hay, WA. on April 2, 2011 beginning at 11:00 am to celebrate Jacks life.
