Hudak
November 19, 1932 – March 27, 2024
James J Hudak passed away on March 27, 2024 peacefully with his family by his side at the Memory Villas at Bishop Place in Pullman, WA. He was born on Nov. 19, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to George and Mary (Lesko) Hudak. He was the youngest of five children. He graduated college from Fenn College of Engineering in Cleveland with a Civil Engineer degree. He last worked for the City of Pullman as Director of Public Works from 1978 until his retirement in 1995. He worked on many projects that helped shape Pullman; one he was most proud of was bringing city buses to Pullman. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic church, volunteering for many years. He was a Knights of Columbus member for over 50 years, holding the Grand Knight position for 4 years. He enjoyed volunteering in various capacities at church. He enjoyed many trips to the lake, fishing, huckleberry picking, golfing, and traveling with best friends, Don and Shiela Dziak. He volunteered for a number of years at Community Action Center Food Bank and Pullman Senior Center. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia and children Joe, Jim (Mary), Teresa, Monica (Dale), and Vic. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donate to Community Action Center 350 Fairmount Dr Pullman, WA 99163 or Sacred Heart Parish 440 NE Ash St. Pullman, WA 99163. There will be a Rosary said at 7:00 pm on April 9, 2024 at Sacred Heart Church in Pullman, WA. His memorial service will be held at Sacred Heart Church on April 10, 2024 at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at the Pullman City Cemetery. Corbeill Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
