Obituary

Long time Colfax resident James (Jim) Lloyd passed away at his home Sunday morning May 20th after a short courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Jim was born November 28, 1942 to Delbert and Beulah (Thomas) Lloyd in Colfax WA. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1961. After High school, Jim attended trade school in Bremerton for welding. He then came back to Colfax and worked at Miller's Welding for about five years. June 8th, 1963 Jim married Kathy Becker in Colfax, two years later their son Mike was born, and their son Bob was born three years after that in 1968. Jim then worked for the Whitman County Road Dept., Lust Disposal and for Monty Kammerzel, with Kammerzel Tractor. For 22 Years Jim worked for Colfax Grange Supply until he retired. After retirement he worked part time for Four Star Grange Supply at Steptoe. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to smoke various meats. He was famous for his smoked bacon and turkey. Jim and Kathy liked to make trips to the casino in Worley ID. Most of all Jim loved to be a grandfather. He is survived by his wife Kathy, Sons Mike (Sarah) Lloyd of Spokane WA, and Bob (Tawyna) Lloyd of Lewiston ID, 5 grandchildren, David J., David R., Emily, Robbie and Cameron, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister Bunny Mcneilly, and brother Walter Lloyd. No services are planned. Online condolences can be made at www.bruningfuneralhome.com
