Obituary

Jason David Denning passed away in his Lago Vista, Texas home suddenly on July 20th, 2024. He started his life adventure being born in Okinawa, Japan to Ladean (Creech) Denning and Richard Denning on July 4th, 1979.

In his very young years, and being born on Independence Day, Jason believed that all the fireworks going off were people celebrating his birthday. As his parents watched him grow into a better man each and every day, they loved him that much more.

Jason grew up in the Boise, Idaho area. Some of his most favorite times growing up were hunting rocks with his grandparents, camping at Anderson Ranch property with family and non-blood family, riding anything with a motor, and doing his best to not get caught in mischief. He had an intense love of wrestling. Over the years he coached numerous youth in wrestling and swimming, sharing with them his knowledge and the importance of self discipline.

He attended Boise State University where he walked onto the wrestling team as a freshman. He then went to the University of Idaho where he received his dual degrees in Operations Management and Information Systems Management in their IBC program. He went on to use his skills and love for problem solving at workplaces including Digilent, National Instruments, and CesiumAstro. He was a hard worker and was always trying to better himself.

Jason married his eternal companion and greatest love, Mandi (Hall) Denning, on December 30, 2005, in Moscow, Idaho. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple October 20, 2006. Jason and Mandi welcomed three children into this world: Wesley, Lillian, and Alexia. He was a rough and tumble dad that taught his children much about being a good person in every sense of the word, preparing them for their life ahead.

He had a great love of fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He was most at peace in nature. That was where he communed with God best.

Jason is survived by his wife, Mandi Denning; children Wesley (16), Lillian (11), and Alexia (5); mother Ladean Denning and partner Ed Tanons, Ed's daughter Beth Tanons and her children Bruce and Rory; father Richard Denning and wife Wendy Denning; sister Nicole Wilson, and her children Kylee, Kindra, and Jason; grandfather Jerry Wilhite; parents-in-law Stephen and Sharon Hall, and their children Savannah, Stephen, and Kimberly Hall
