Jeanie W. Elliott, 92, of Pullman, WA passed away April 5, 2017 at Pullman Regional Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman, WA. Jeanie was born Jan. 11, 1925 in Edinburgh, Scotland to John & Margaret (Davidson) Birnie. She grew up in Scotland where she received her education. Jeanie married John C. Elliott and together had two children. The couple later was divorced. She made Scotland home until she and the children moved to the United States in 1964, settling in Walnut Creek, California. In addition to being a mother and homemaker Jeanie worked as a records specialist for Kaiser Medical for many years. She retired at the age of 70. Jeanie enjoyed talking walks, knitting and was an accomplished dress maker. Spending time with her friends was of special importance to her. Jeanie will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who treasured time spent with family. She was a member of the Eastern Star throughout her life always maintaining an active affiliation. Jeanie moved to Pullman, WA in 2015 to live near her daughter and family. She is survived by her daughter Margaret (Margy) Fotopoulos and husband Stergios of Pullman; her son Ian Elliot and wife Janet of Naperville, IL; one brother Jackie Birnie; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. In addition to her parents Jeanie was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
