Jeanne Louise Schaff, 78, of Pullman, passed away October 26, 2017 at her Pullman home. Jeanne was born December 23, 1938 in Colfax, WA to Morris & Edith (Wernecke) Myers. She grew up in Palouse, WA and Moscow, ID graduating from Moscow High School. During this time Jeanne worked as a ticket taker at the Kenworthy Theater. She enjoyed writing to varies movie stars and in turn receiving photos of such stars. Some of the pictures are still in the family. Jeanne later worked at the Empire Department Store for a number of years. Jeanne married Dean Viger and together they had 3 children. The couple later divorced. In 1972 she married Ray Schaff in Coeur D'Alene, ID., and together they raised their family making Pullman their home. Jeanne worked for Inland Merchants over the years until retiring in 1999. She so enjoyed the outdoors especially camping with the family. Jeanne liked to travel including several different cruises and so loved her cat "Max". She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who held time spent with family close to her heart. Jeanne was a passionate baseball and basketball fan who always routed for the Zags and Mariners. Jeanne was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pullman. Jeanne is survived by her husband Ray at the family home in Pullman; her children Don Viger; Debbie (Jeff) Squires; LuAnn (Terry) Bartlett; Kathy (Dave) LaBargee; Kelly (Marty) Ellis; Alan Schaff; 12 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Diane Viger and brother Steve Myers. Please join Jeanne's family at a visitation on Sunday, Oct. 29th from 5 to 7 pm at Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman, WA. The Rosary will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 440 NE Ashe St., in Pullman. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated following the Rosary at 11 AM. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial donations are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the American Cancer Society or to the Pullman Fire Department in Jeanne's name.
