Jerilee Stanton, longtime Colfax resident, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019 at her home in Colfax after a long battle with cancer. She was 73. Jeri was born June 2, 1946 to Gerald and Rhea (Brandom) Douglas in Riverside, California. Jeri attended school in Riverside and graduated high school at Poly High school. Following high school Jeri attended Riverside City College where she studied dental hygiene. She met and married Richard Stanton in October 1973 in Riverside. They welcomed two sons together, Shea and Devin. They moved their family to Colfax in October of 1992 to escape the hustle of Southern California. Jeri worked several jobs in advertising and sales around Colfax. You could often find Jeri following around her boys through their activities and hosting and maintaining the "hang out" house. Unfortunately, in 2013 they lose their son, Devin. Jeri is survived by her husband, Dick, and her son Shea, at the family home in Colfax. She was preceded in death by her son, Devin and by her parents.
